No matter who you are or where you’ve been, there’s a place for you at The Pursuit. We’ve created an environment where people from all walks of life feel seen, loved, and valued. Whether it’s your first time in church or you’re looking for a new spiritual home, you’re welcome here.
Pastor Tom dreamed of planting a church that would be intentional about reaching people that no one else was reaching. With the help of his family and friends, The Pursuit held its first service on October 13, 2013, in an old strip club in downtown Minot. Over 100 people showed up on that first day to hear about the freedom that is found in Jesus Christ.
From the beginning, The Pursuit has focused on sharing the Gospel through simple and clear teaching, creating a welcoming environment for all people, and connecting people relationally to grow spiritually. Since the first service, the church has grown rapidly, quickly moving to multiple services and changing venues to accommodate the growth. What started as a few family and friends dreaming and praying in a living room has turned into 1,000+ people gathering to worship God at our weekly services.
Today, our vision has grown to see the Kingdom of God continue to expand across our state and beyond by opening up more locations and offering a dynamic online worship experience. We invite you to see for yourself what God is doing through The Pursuit and join our passion to see people's lives transformed by the power of the Gospel!
At The Pursuit, our values center on the Gospel's transformative power.
We deliver clear, biblical, and Jesus-focused messages, aiming for real-life transformation. This supports our mission to lead North Dakota into a relationship with Jesus, and our vision to welcome all to know Him.
Every person was created by God in His image, and because of that every person has inherent value. You Matter!
Matthew 20:29-34
Come as you are! Jesus never required us to get our lives on track before we came to Him. He just says, "Come." Jesus is the one who transforms lives.

Sunday services typically last 60-65 minutes and include live worship and an applicable message. We provide a safe and secure area for your kids during every service where they can connect with Jesus on their level. To create space for everyone, at our 8:30 service, anyone can grab a free drink as thank you for attending that service.
The Pursuit Church is non-denominational, meaning we have people who attend with different backgrounds that find common ground in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
On Sunday mornings, we have you covered. Whether you have a newborn, toddler, kindergartener, or fifth grader, we have multiple rooms with adequate supervision and lesson plans. On Wednesday evenings, we have a youth ministry called Momentum, which caters to our 6th–12th grade students. They engage in worship, enjoyable activities, and a message. We encourage our teens to attend Sunday services with their parents.
The Pursuit Church does not practice infant baptism because we view baptism as an outward sign of personal dedication to Christ. Instead, we offer baby dedications—a Christian ceremony in which parents bring their infant or young child to church to dedicate him or her to God, asking for His blessing and guidance as they raise the child. This practice expresses the parents’ desire to raise their child in the faith and serves as a public commitment to nurture and guide the child in accordance with Christian values.
There is not a dress code here at The Pursuit. Come in whatever feels right for you! We are a church that welcomes all. We will meet you exactly where you are; therefore, we do not ask people to present a certain image.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, The Pursuit is a welcoming place where you can learn more about God and how to follow Him through a connection with Jesus. We are passionate about leading North Dakota into a growing relationship with Jesus, and we want to meet people right where they are.
If you are a follower of Jesus and have not yet taken the step of baptism, we encourage you to do so. Invite us into your story so we can discuss the new identity, family, and mission you now have in Jesus. You can express your desire to be baptized at any time; baptisms take place on the third Sunday of every month.
There are many ways to get involved at The Pursuit; we recognize it is overwhelming to discover meaningful connections in a big church, but joining a group is a fantastic first step toward finding community at The Pursuit! If you visit our Connect Center, they will be delighted to point you to our ministries and ways you can find community and involvement.
Over the past decade, God has grown The Pursuit into a vibrant, multigenerational family. On any given Sunday, you’ll meet people of all ages and from every walk of life—each bringing unique stories, educational backgrounds, and gifts. Because Minot is a military hub, we’re blessed to welcome people from every corner of the world. Together, we’re passionately pursuing Jesus and making His name known in North Dakota and beyond.
